Even though the cryptocurrency industry is not new to ups and downs, 2019 has turned out to be the year with the most surprising reveals. The long-lasting bear market of 2018 moved market analysts to call it the year of regulatory reckoning, leaving many jurisdictions uncertain about how to treat cryptocurrencies. However, 2019 also turned out to be the year of the comeback.

Enter the new year immediately,Why not review the hot topics of crypto in 2019?

This is as far as I can remember. Bakkt is finally opened. After several launching dates, it was finally launched late in 2019. The volume started very low and slowly rising until reaching tens of millions in USD. Another was that Chinese president Xi Jinping announces support for Blockchain. The announcement coming from the president himself was very popular hitting the headlines of many crypto publications.

I would agree with the Bakkt launching, but what I don't understand is why are people saying that the Chinese president statement has something to do specially bitcoin? Bitcoin is not the same as Blockchain Technology.

The Chinese President statement is pro Blockchain and not pro bitcoin so stop mentioning it as one of the hot topics of 2019 because you are buying on that myth.

I am just responding to the OP, who is asking which topics do we think are hot in crypto in the year 2019. That announcement coming from the president of China himself was indeed hot. The president did not mention Bitcoin. He did not even mention cryptocurrency, if I am not mistaken. But still it made the headlines of crypto publications. That is not something to wonder because many crypto publications are writing in their headlines news that are not really news worthy. They are writing articles that are written for the sake of having something to publish.
