I do not know if that will actually happen but if your prediction is correct even then it makes no sense to buy altcoins now, if you wait you may miss the absolute bottom of the market and this will limit your profits somehow but you are still going to get important profits, but in the case you are wrong and altcoins keep going down or remain stable then you would have wasted your money and time investing in something that gave you no profits and when I see the market it seems it is better to give a greater weight to the act of protecting your capital than to try to multiply it.
