the coin uses sha256 just like btc which is long gone from the hands of general purpose hardware
asic is the way to go
This is the answer you're looking for op, and I'd warn that older Bitcoin miners would be a waste, if it's any more profitable than Bitcoin or it's alts a lot of newer hardware would jump on it, this would increase difficulty and make it harder to mine.
If you have a cpu you're willing to mine on, mine monero and exchange it for this shitcoin if you really are so inclined.
