Altcoins are in huge loses, this could be very hard to recover this lose. Some altcoins is almost died from some USD to below 0.01 cents. Bitcoin halving can't change the altcoins season. I believe Ethereum 2.0 could change this season because the highest percent coin is on the Ethereum blockchain.
I like the fact that many altcoins almost died, this is another way of knowing which coins is strong and which one is weak, you have a point that many altcoins are on ETH blockchain but do not forget that Ethereum itself depends on bitcoin
