"Nearly 2.7 trillion won ($2.3 billion) have been lost to crimes involving cryptocurrency in the last two years, according to South Korean government data."
where do you see the improvements being made against crypto criminal activity. this can really hurt the price for traders/investors if conditions don't improve.
We can't blame the security of exchanges, they do everything they can and they're just unlucky as hackers get smarter. This is the market that makes hackers richer and the government cannot interfere. So our money is not guaranteed either. This is a signal that something is not good and we should know how to manage capital, never put too much money on any exchange, keep more than 70% of fiat money and 30% to trade. It will help us get rid of unnecessary risks.
Security should be improved and more innovations and options should be explored like biometrics etc. Another issue is, once it is a hack, it is hard to recover the amount lost. because of decentralization in blockchain technology. You cant reverse the whole transaction unless you have to fork the whole system.
