Since you asked for it, here you are:
For me all investments in PoS coins were a disappointment. All this happened before 2018.
And it makes sense. Just imagine, for Ethereum: in the past 2 years whoever wanted to accumulate, had plenty of opportunities to buy. After becoming PoS all these whales will have free coins to dump/sell.

Won't the move to POS be somewhat in slow motion though? Meaning we are talking about 1-3 years... so for the first stage, those who want to get into POS will have to lock up their coins (probably for around a year). So they can't dump their stakes even if they want to.

Assuming they stick with that plan, to me it could play out as an initial rise in price, but expect a dump once coins are released... or possibly a dump somewhat pre-release, as it may get priced in.

If we are talking about logical moves, that is. With crypto who knows, ETH could dump to nothing based on Vitalik sneezing.
