$5000 is a lot of money (for me) if i be you i will make sure first i know what risk to make investment in bitcoin. And then i will decide to keep continue or not. If you ask people's suggestion, you will be more confused because you will only see people say buy or not only. But wouldn't tell you if you have possibility to lose your investment if bitcoin get dumped.
