Definitely Ethereum, Monero, EOS, are a few of the main Crypto's I think are here to stay and are my safe recommendations
Some more risky ones that arent here as long or have a lower marketcap are:

But for sure you have to do some research in the Altcoin announcement Section, it is like finding a needle in the haystack in there and you have to watch out with scams but you can def find a good long term project that gets you motivated!
