2019 had been not so good for altcoins as this year has given us number scam projects and as a result, some of the genuine projects have been failed wherein people just pretended any projects with ICO as a scam. I think 2020 will bring new hopes and some good project in the market by considering 2019 as a learning area.
2018 and 2019 have weakened the altcoins a lot. so what was going on with ICO scams, exits and bad guys is crazy.
no wonder if the whole market has a bad reputation except for a few exceptions and will take longer to recover. no ieo or other things will help. 2020 will hopefully bring some stability again but for most of the altcoins i don't see a place in the market. unfortunately.
I agree when you say that most altcoins do not really have a place in the market but people have found a way to keep them going and instead of achieving their goal of challenging bitcoin for the supremacy of this market altcoins have become nothing but vehicles of speculation and as long as that remains the case most of those altcoins are never going to disappear because there is always going to be someone willing to buy them regardless of their price because people think they can make money in the market with those coins.
