I don't think you have to worry that much abut scammers in trading if you use a reliable platform. Don't put your money in sites that are new or recently launched unless it is backed by a person that is known in the world of Cryptocurrency like when Binance was launched I signed up right away because of the back ground of CZ. Next would be there are too many coins out there to focus your sights. One would always say go for the top 3 in CMC but its not always like that.
We should use an exchange that is trusted and have good reputation in the market, we will be vulnerable to scammers if we will use newly launched exchanges. Focusing on high market cap crypto can help us to buold solid portfolio, there are shitcoins out there and we should ignore it because the risks are too high and there so volatile where we can easily lose our money if our portfolio consists of that kind of shitcoin.
