For $400, I don't think that would put your life in danger unless you are living in a country where the poverty rate is high and that amount is so huge.
That amount in my country can be earn through their salary so even if you brag that amount, you'll not get harm.
Maybe around $10,000 or more, that would already put your life in danger.

Well I don't think the issue here is about putting your life in danger but instead making others feel awful about their own life. When you win big just keep it to yourself and enjoy your gain then bragging about it to others, it can cause depression then lead to suicide. Making others feel bad about themselves when you achieve something big in your life shouldn't be a way of life instead be more supportive and give more to charity.

In fact, people(myself included) rarely think of this aspect of bragging about your wins, but you are right, probably, seeing great achievements of others can cause depression among some people. Well, what can I say? They need to see a psychiatrist if that is the case. But if they don't have funds for that, I can provide them with a short free counseling on that matter.

If someone has more money than you do, that doesn't mean they have a better life. They might have issues you can't imagine. Therefore don't be envious of their achievements, and better take care of yourself.
Yes, we should not talk to anyone about our big gains but try to keep it secret and don’t talk in public places because you will remain in danger for it and maybe you lost you're all your money. In gambling places, people are not a winner so they can hate you for your winning camping amount and attack you anytime so you will lose all your money.
