Bitcoin is genius. It solved the decentralization problem that long existed in computer science. It enabled people to exchanging value without the need to trust any central authority.
Developing ethereum doesnt require genius but capital which its developers have plenty of.
Ethereum can go much higher from here but never forget Bitcoin is the first mover and is much superior.
