It depends on you, how you can manage and careful with your assets. Many people may have different opinions about this because they must have different ways to handle their assets.

It seems right for now. People know that there is high volatility in Bitcoin price but they keep confidence in trading or investing because they know it also has a chance to rise significantly. For experienced people, they may think not too high risk. 

I am not really sure if it can be primary money, as an alternative currency seems more sense for now. We still need real money that can be used easily by all walks of life, all ages. Not all people in the world have the same capability to use digital currency.
