Some altcoins boast of better features of course, but when it comes to acceptability, Bitcoin remains the most acceptable and nothing changes that. Also, Bitcoin is the most trust worthy for long term. Most altcoins which promise great features still fail in the long run, so it's pointless trying to figure out an altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin per say. Also, don't be in a haste to forget that Bitcoin is the only truly decentralized cryptocurrency.
