i am not a Chinese but i have many Chinese friends and learning from them?this is the most celebrated days for them(second to Mooncake festival) so why are we to question their ways?

It’s a typical work hard to spend hard culture, it is perfectly healthy! Also adding some extra ingredients into the mix, by proposing various habit of spending lavishly. Gambling, fire crackers, tossing red envelopes, and so on. Btw doesn’t it fit perfectly into the teaching of goto school, graduate, get a good job with benefit, and retire with pension. There is absolutely no issues by following the rule.
