Thats hilarious, btw its not common to use physical red envelope anymore since the digital money has gone mainstream. Try running away from a digital red envelope send by the internet, there is no way to run from it. The cuisine is fantastic, my favourite would have been the meat jerky thats specially prepared by obscure chef, Id crave into it all the time.
Yeah, I heard about digital payments being the norm now in China. Just surprised kids are running away from the envelope. Where I live kids are supposed to pay respects of sort when it is handed to them. Maybe it's just a mainland thing?
