Short but very important note: Why are so many people applying with less than 10 merits earned in last 120 days? We stated clearly in our opening post that this requirement must be met in order to qualify. Please do us all a favor and read threads before you are applying, this will help you in future. 
It is possible that they apply, becuse they think that posts quality is more important..
Not many people care about Merits, because 10 Merits everyone can buy for a few cents on local forums ..I see that other users like your post as much as I do. 3 merits for you, and now with 10 legal Merits you can apply to that campaign!
