I have a suggestion for the next tournament. I think, it's better to keep all those who haven't shown up at one table, so that no one could steal their blinds(if it's technically possible, of course). I know it's impossible(and maybe even a bit unfair) to keep going like this infinitely, but I think we can give 30-40 minutes to those who are late without ripping them off.
(Just a thought. Sorry if this is against some major rules.)
It would be technically impossible , to do smt like this software wise (
move every inactive person to 1 table ) .
No, no, of course, I didn't mean that. What I meant was keeping only those players who didn't show up at one table, and if someone was active at least for 5 seconds, he/she automatically placed at a table with active players for the rest of the tournament.
One option would be to automatically fold when BB is at one of the inactive players , though I suppose this is not practical aswell , consider you're waiting for many hands for a good card , you finally hit AA and you have to forfeit your hand because the BB is an inactive person.
You yourself have shown well enough that this is not an option.
The best option in this situation would be simply to have open a late registration - Basically have 30-45 minutes of late registrations open , and in case someone is late they still have a chance to register and play.
Yes, 45 minutes of late registration would solve the problem, and it's good that @efialtis confirmed above that it is possible to implement.
