Switching to POS is nothing new and sudden. The Team had declared the intention to switch to Proof-of-Stake before Token Sale.

Here is the first version of Whitepaper from June 2017: https://medium.com/nimiq-network/nimiq-a-peer-to-peer-payment-protocol-native-to-the-web-ffd324bb084

Proof-of-Stake Algorithm: We would strongly prefer to switch to a Proof-of-Stake Algorithm in the long run to get to a more energy-efficient Blockchain system. We are following the research of other projects such as Ethereum, and we are investigating multiple candidates such as Ouroboros. Just as well, we are very open to suggestions by the community.

Nimiq 2.0 is the transition from POW to a completely new and original POS protocol called Albatross, that Team Nimiq helped to create.

This new POS algorithm has the potential to increase the performance of the network and is therefore an upgrade to the network. Thing scammy about that.

A different supply curve has been discussed by the community for a while now. https://forum.nimiq.community/t/inflation-for-nimiq-2-0/425/32

Team Nimiq is simply research possibilities and sharing it with the community. In a decentralized cryptocurrency, the community always has the last word.

If you need to use big red fonts people know for a fact you are a FUDDER with no credibility.
