Being a champion is paying up.

Unlike veterans which are just given $5m per year. With him it takes a lot of money because of the ring.

It sure does. Iguodala's manager/agent knows how to leverage his client's past achievements. He is also well rested now and his championship experience could help his new team come playoff time but I still think the Miami Heat is taking a huge gamble also here IMO. But hey, who knows if they can be able to knock off one of the East's favorites (Celtics, Bucks, 76ers, Toronto).
Miami do have young guys and I think Iguodala will suit them well.
Giving them a veteran perspective and everything he knew about defense.
I still cannot believe how Iggy changed from a high flying offensive guy to a defensive one.
He is definitely a valuable piece for GSW back then.
There is a fire going on and coals are being filled in.

Then Curry comes back defending his guy.

Read it. (the part about Curry though is not there, you can google it)
