Yes he is right, if you are going to look for the market capitalization and the bitcoin dominance then bitcoin is still top even if all the other currencies will be put together. But with this statement "Nobody outside of "full-time" crypto cares about anything other than BTC.", I completely disagree with it as you can see that other currencies are doing well because there are demands and investors are putting their money to it aside from bitcoin.
And there is still a possibility that other currencies will overtake bitcoin someday especially that there are plenty of disadvantages of bitcoin right now especially it's transaction time and fees.
