Stopped using CMC myself. Ever since they introduced the "DATA" alliance thing, it gets worse - they essentially create a walled garden that only they and their so called "partner" exchanges get to represent themselves.
Case in point:
> CMC's Top 200 rank only considers coins listed on selected exchanges.
> This creates incentives for coins to want to list themselves on those exchanges
> CMC is part of the cartel creating a false, paid ecosystem
> Coins that can't afford to pay listing to get on those will never get represented fairly
I don't think many are aware of this, but take a look through their list and you'll understand what I mean. CMC is absolutely greedy and full of crap these days. Anyone who is willing to pay their way up can get to the front page. Shameful.

CoinGecko, Cryptocompare etc don't have such nonsense. I personally use CoinGecko all the way because they have really good clean UI, great support if you have questions. They do things fairer and are transparent (see their circulating supply breakdown for ERC-20 tokens). So much work goes into what they do and I think they deserve more recognition than CMC in every way.
