the question from the first post can be answered with NO.
although half of it was reached at ATH. nevertheless I personally never see ETH at 2000 USD.
until the market would allow such a thing there are other projects which could replace ETH.
i say consciously could because you can never be completely sure in the crypto environment.

I believe in Ethereum in long-term, in my opinion it's possible for ETH to be $2k in next couple years, not in the next couple months. There's
a huge difference between months and years.
Ethereum is a great project. There are some serious competitors, but I doubt any of competing projects can replace Ethereum. It's the best
platform with the most new projects on it. The newest upgrade will make Ethereum more scalable and that can lead Ethereum price to new ATH.
