I really don't know where cryptocurrencies are used in this game. It's been getting good media coverage though. If you know the famous card game Magic The Gathering, I've read somewhere that a big name in the MTG business is now working for Gods Unchained.
Another disclaimer: I haven't tried playing this game, and I have zero idea if this is a good game or not.
