I usually play every friday because that is my "rest" for the whole week, so approximately, thrice or four times a month playing poker and roulette.
Earlier I used to gamble regularly, during those days I used to get good earning out of the same. Suddenly things changed with heavy loss, and I wasn't able to get back the lost amount. This made me spend at some time interval to lower the loss. Gambling needs to be kept in control, if one hasn't got control surely gambling isn't the right thing for them. From the beginning of the ongoing year I have decreased my spending on gambling.
Adjustment is a good thing than to try regaining the amount that you have lost because chances are high that you would end up with bigger loss as you gamble. Self control is not present to all gamblers that is why there are people who are being addicted into such activity.
Lets just say i have a strategy for gambling, i have a set aside amount from my salary that is reserved for gambling.
Weeekend sport betting is a must for me, and midweek matches too especially when there are champions league matches.
But once i exhaust my threshold amount allocated for gambling, either im in profit or not, i roll over and wait until the next month.
And it does work for me most times.
what works for you ?
Yes, it is a good idea to exit gambling, whether it is profit or loss because the double strategy always returns with losses
but in champions league matches hard to guess which team will win the match
Some people still gamble for entertainment purposes , so maybe, it does depend on the habit you are having as a player whether to quit or not.
