This seems a bit exaggerated
When you are able and willing to spend 3+ BTC on a parlay in NCAAB, then a USD 100k+ net profit is probably nothing that is life changing for you. This dude might be a real crack in NCAAB, but in case of doubt, he probably lost 4 parlays like these before and now was able to break even. But you never know, certainly a nice and big win. It might even be one of the early investors in Bitcoin that owns a few 1000 coins and he or she bought those coins for a few dollars each. It actually does not matter to some of these guys that it is worth say $10 000 a coin, because they own a few thousand of them.
Also, if you are a Bitcoin whale and you have a fluctuation of say 10% in the bitcoin price in a day or a couple of days, you would be profiting a few bitcoins within a week, so losing 3 bitcoins or even more is not a big deal for them. < Just watch the trades that some of these guys are doing and you will see what I am saying >
Sites like Freebitco.in gives 4%+ interest p/a on deposited coins that are paid out daily, so if you stuck a couple of 100 of bitcoins on there, and you regularly withdraw the profit, you could be gambling all day with interest from that site.
I bet you that person did not even crack a smile when he or she won that, because they have most probably lost 100x that amount on the previous gambling sessions.
