If youre using ENS Ethereum Name Service then you have a big reason to worry, as Decrypt has exposed over 1,33,000 users private data and I hope that none of us from here got effected. I know many people will not take this seriously and truth be told when I saw the title I too was going to close the site, but then I decided to read a little bit and I found something very alarming:
CoinGecko co-founder Bobby Ong, who owns the ENS domain bobbyong.eth, attended a DAI stablecoin-focused meetup in Osaka Japan on October 7, 2019.
This could be seen through the blockchain address that is used to create his Ethereum name.
Whats so alarming is that anyone who had wanted to snoop into his business would have been able to know his whereabouts 17 days prior. Nothing bad happened, thankfully.
But Micky has previously reported on several incidents of kidnapping and infiltration among users whose crypto wealth is known to the public.
Therefore If anyone has any suggestions as to how the community can be safe, and what are the best practices to adopt if ones data is exposed kindly post below.
