Find in Google images "Iceland - black sand." This is one of the most incredible places on Earth. I haven't been there, but I definitely want to go there!
I have watched this place in documentaries and it is indeed incredible.
The problem with trips on those places is transportation. Apart from the fact that reaching those place is kind of difficult it is also expensive to get transported there. And this cost should be considered from the traveler IMHO.
