Definitely not. I intend to demonstrate that there's absolutely nothing monstrous about being half-man and half-vixen. (Things were a lot less confusing for all concerned when I was just half-man and half-fox, but what can you do?)

Not very, since I'm already spending way more money than I should on what is essentially an elaborate practical joke. 
The top merit-earners tend to join the club gradually.
Note also that all merit cyclers have previously been awarded the Vulpine Order of Merit. No doubt this fact will spawn additional conspiracy theories...
