Honestly, as someone who has published to Envato in the past, you're really not hurting Envato here. You're mostly hurting the developers/designers.

No one should join up just on that basis alone. And also too, using the files that you've obtained through this service could be considered illegal use. It isn't about "being strict".

For every member that downloads from your site instead of Envato Elements, that's a monthly membership fee that didn't go to Envato, and therefore the 50% cut that didn't go to the developer as per their program. They aren't coding/designing for free.
