Projects are currently being run through quality control / beta testing at consortium labs and will be available to the general public soon - according to the scientists involved.
Even if you get an early start, just select "Any Disease" in the Folding@home client - you will be helping researchers with Cancer, Alzheimer's, Ebola and many unusual diseases on the network.
New, always fall under the "Any Disease" category and be prioritized by consortium needs until a more granular drop-down list of diseases is designed into future folding clients.Fold On!
I wouldn't be surprised to see this project gain more traction soon. With all the attention folding@home has been getting lately in the media and the massive influx of new
folders. It's a rare thing to see a crypto coin backed by a legitimate purpose, which is, preventing deaths and saving lives using science.
