I have asked the developer and the only way to claim and increase the possibility to get this airdrop through buy a small amount of kickcoin from the market. this even has already passed.
Yes, everyone that holds at least 500K KICK in their wallet will have increased chance to get airdropped tokens. But it seems that this is not working so good, cosndiering the current price of the tokens, that is going down constantly.
I am one of their receiver I never asked it or registered for any airdrop just surprised that I have this but this is free money, if the way to claim will be easy and I can do it within my means why not claim it, but they must prove that they are profitable or those who received airdrops are not going to lose anything.
It is far from as you call it "free money". First you will have to go through KYC on their exchange, then send ETH/BTC, make bunch of trades in order to unlock them, but while doing that you might even loose some money unless you are very experienced trader. And all that for tokens that will be worth few dollars at best. In my opinion, it is not worth it, and in the end you might even be in loss.
