This is the problem. Example: College dropouts that think they are smarter than the world supermajority consensus of scientists on a certain matter, thus the defence boils down to "BUT I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION". The proper answer would be not to ignore, and not to accept their entitlement but to call them out for what they are: Ignorant and uneducated baboons.

Discussions on issues are also being avoided, privately and publicly (whilst publicly stating that opinions can be changed or that consensus matters on some of these issues). It is a sad state of affairs.
