Since Bitcoin is rare, most people are reluctant to spend it. Instead, they simply store it in the expectation that over time the value will increase. Bitcoin still maintains the possibility of a significant increase in value, and the fact remains that Bitcoin provided the first public, open, and digital asset the world has ever seen. Bitcoin was the first successful experiment and the potential for cryptocurrency to change the world is great, much bigger than expected ten years ago.
