Women IPL may start from 2021. Just read an article wherein Mithali Raj urges BCCI to start women's IPL from 2021. I do not know how successful women IPL will be but, it will open up numerous opportunities in women cricket.

Can be a great exposure to the Women's cricket and lots of people who don't get a chance to show their talent can show them here . One of the advantages of tournaments like IPL is that , not everybody gets a chance to play in international team ( since only 11 best players are taken ) but playing in IPL will give them international exposure for sure . Hope BCCI considers this.The problem is that no one will be interested to watch these matches. We have men's world cup and women's world cup. How many of us watch the women matches ? I even do not know any name of the players of women team from any country. So if we have women IPL, do you think people will match those matches or come to the stadium to support the teams ? I guess No.
