About treating symptoms, as I have already said it's very HARD and A LONG PROCESS before a new drug can be developed... so please stop conspiracy if we not die at 30years old like ancient romans (I am proudly ITALIAN not only a proud man of science ) you should say a big thank you to innovations created by "Big Pharma". Make a research about Lymphoma or other cruel diseases... you will be shocked about how many lives have been saved.
As every sector there are also here some dishonest people but this is not a justification for  attack a whole industry and their innovations.
About money, I don't know what is your work, but people working on this industry are humans, should pay bills, buying foods, they invested a lot of money in university  etc etc.....
