I would prefer to say: Exposing phone number to any apps is never a good idea. Phone number can be used to do KYC on many platforms, and the more exposure you do with your phone number, the higher risk your phone number will be abused. It is a kind of risk management. I don't trust any third party apps that require my phone number to operate any transactions. That's very risky.
