What's different?
The chain is less than two weeks old and 305,994,970 coins out of 360,000,000 coins are already circulating. So if you are interested in mining you can compete for 0.15 coins per block, while someone else is already sitting hundreds of millions of coins. Literally there is no possibility for good distribution of supply through POW or POS with this coin, simple math. 
You can buy coins from the Developer to setup a masternode though....
