Well, the funny thing is he isn't even doing that -- it's bitsler who is, to try get some positive PR and potentially players.  Which on the whole, is a pretty good thing -- a lot of innocent victims are going to get a couple hundred bucks. That's clearly good.


Although, it's also pretty obvious why Dean is doing this. It's a cost-free way for him to try cover the fact he blatant scammed hundreds of people. And now try legitimize his obviously fabricated "sorry, I did nothing wrong. Someone knew the server seeds, and somehow won more than the bankroll, so I had to also take players funds after I had just a couple months earlier scammed investors").


I feel it would have been a lot more fair to allocate the recompensation funds by the amount scammed (e.g. bitsler pays back 1% of scammed to everyone), rather than cap it (as it's just structured now as a cheap way to lower the amount of scam victims, without paying the big dollars).


That said, I'm pretty happy to see a bunch of people (and probably Dean on a bunch of alt accounts, lol) are getting some of their money back.
