In my country, 40% of population are active in gambling.

In our country may be close to that number but more active even though in the midst of this pandemic, they still want to pursue their addiction. in the past days, there are several gamblers who got caught by the authorities. they caught because they violated the quarantine rules and most of them involved in cockfight which is prohibited nowadays because of this pandemic. their cock has been slaughtered and has been feed to prisoners. Well, that served them right.
I guess most of the gamblers are those who are betting on lottery, for me, I don't consider them as a regular gambler as they don't spend much of their time in gambling and they are just throwing their money, meaning, even if they will lose, it will not hurt their pocket.
if that's how big the number is, then the government will be making a lot of money since lottery are usually sponsored by the government, and sad to say that majority of the gamblers betting on lottery are poor people.
