Already there are firms which are experimenting with blockchain in various industries such as healthcare, retail, security and gaming, among others. So yes, there is scope for the future. Otherwise why would more and more people will be attracted to it everyday?
I think blockchain technology has a great future. We all live in a time when this technology is just beginning to gain its popularity. It is important that this technology serves us, and not us for it (as with fiat money).
