I do keep track of my expenditure in gambling and no I do not consider this as an investment, this is part of my therapy to cure my addiction, to look at it and regret what I spent.
If you are not profitable in gambling then why do you continue doing it?
As it is not an investment it is not an activity that will give you money. You should better keep that money and buy small portions of bitcoin instead of giving them to casinos.
Keeping track means you are timely monitoring it, not that you look at your past performance and regret on it, you should regret timely, otherwise you'll spend all your money and you'll only give up because you don't have money to gamble anymore, which I think tracking does not serve the purpose.
For me, I track because I want to make a timely decision, so I can stop or still continue.
