I do keep track of my expenditure in gambling and no I do not consider this as an investment, this is part of my therapy to cure my addiction, to look at it and regret what I spent.
If we look back on how much we lost in gambling it makes us regrets playing those money. For me I dont track my gambling journey and move on when I lose its because it will be hard to forget if I dwell in the past. Its not an investment but instead its a way to grow your money if you're lucky or an entertainment for some of us. Its fine to gamble as long as you're prepared for the consequences incase you became an addicted player.
I also find it hard to find the reason about the topic because i have never
meet evena  single person who's doing this.
Like your Point it is only harder to accept the truth that you have lose those
amount in gambling when the truth is
This is not an investing that needs to be monitored instead this is amount that
we are only willing to Lose each time we wanted
to Kill our time and have some happiness specially in this boring days of locking down.
