He’s mining bitcoin? I’m struggling to believe that, sorry. Mining these days requires expensive rigs & electricity bills are not cheap. It’s borderline unprofitable for solo miners these days.

Maybe he is not that too serious when putting his personal info while signing up, even in this forum I don't really want for you guys to know my birthday. But the fact that he didn't explained anything about that stuff looks very suspicious to me.
And for the kid, if it is true that he has this eagerness to program codes then might as well the OP should support him, the demand for computer related courses will drastically increase soon.
