Honestly I wouldn't put my money on 8k+ and upwards directly, I did wagered on previous months but not doing it this month at all. However if I were to do any I would always put my money on things that are around the current prices instead of the big changes (which is why I almost always lose I suppose).

For example right now I can cover from 6k to 8k, that way I am covering all 2k worth of prices and that is only 4 wagers in total, so if the odds are 4 or up I am making a profit, if not then I am not making any profit at all. I know it is not really all that smart idea and hence why I am not wagering but I do not see it making huge changes neither, just tiny bit of changes looks like the way to go this month and even just 2 bets between 6.5k to 7.5k would be probably enough as well.
