Thanks! Also, would it be worthwhile to investigate ZEC pools as well given that ZEC's algo is built on the same algo (with additions, of course). Could there be similar discrepancies between pools that pay tx fees and those that do not there or is this a problem specific to BTC pools?
I have just seen this - it's a shame that nobody has replied. I'm also new to mining and just wondered which pool you picked and why?
Further, if anyone else is able to offer some advice that would be great
