Another reason is that the majority of alts correlates with BTC. While it stagnates/dump/pump those alts do the same.
For the next 5 years, I predict the ATH price of BTC will be around $100k but only the legit projects will survive during the hard shitcoin elimination process. Correlation doesn't show it's power in all market conditions, exceptions are there always.
