except manufacturer fw is proven to find blocks - not a single fw other than manufacturer fw has taken the time to prove it finds blocks - they simply tell the consumers to d/l it and test it themselves. as the creators of the fw - the first thing that should be shown is that it finds blocks.

what was that company that slushpool let run with a shit ton of petahash with their own software for quite a while? and that company made a shit ton of btc - then when it was proven that their software was shit and could not find blocks? did all the revenue paid to that company get reversed and paid to all the miners that actually used fw that could find blocks? nope. Slush gave them big concessions and discounts in fees and then let them keep the basically stolen btc because their software didnt work!

those of us that ask for proof are not trying to be dicks or assholes about it, we are trying to see that the community is not getting ripped off! sure these fw increase efficiency and increase hash rate but if they cannot find blocks then the rest of the pool is being ripped off. and the people using the fw are getting paid for work that never actually mattered.
