In the past, I haven't really been bothered by geotracking on my phone, but I'm starting to rethink my attitude. It isn't just Google an Facebook. but a load of other organisations seem to be getting in on the idea. I've got some old roofing lead, and I'm thinking of lining a tin box with it, and using it to isolate my phone, especially when I am travelling.

Does any one else have similar concerns?
Perhaps my question will sound somewhat amateurish but still - is it not enough that you just turn off the geolocation function in your phone? As far as I am aware of the latest updates on the iPhone - if you turn off the geolocation function in your phone, then none of the applications can collect this information without your knowledge. Is not it ?
