@Op Obviously the gamblers win in gambling. But it sure that the winner is very rare than losers. Only some lucky and GOD of gamblers win sometimes. 
And when a gambler luckily wins a high stake then it makes more addiction in gambling. And this is the main reason for most of the gamblers are playing gamble despite losses.

You are right about the addiction though and this I think really separates the "winners" who take great cares to not be addicted.
